Come One, Come All!
The 34th Annual Demarest 5K & One Mile Fun Run will be on Sunday, May 22, 2016, bringing together kids, parents, teachers, businesses, community leaders and neighbors of all ages and backgrounds in a celebration of our health. We run and walk together on the streets of Demarest, and ultimately feel great about being part of something that is good for us and good for our schools. All proceeds from the race go towards the Demarest schools and have brought amazing athletic and academic equipment and programs to our children.
What sets us apart from all other 5K races is the creativeness of the Principal’s Challenge training program and our full-day school Health Fair. The Principal’s Challenge is a highlight of the school year, with students training twice a week with their principals, teachers, parents, and sponsors’ professional trainers! Our Health Fair features our sponsors leading our entire elementary school in healthy activities highlighting exercise, hygiene and nutrition. These unique programs are designed exclusively for the Demarest 5K to promote health, fitness and overall wellness for families in our community. So, sign up and be a part of it all!
