the demarest 5k is ready
to run

The Demarest 5K & One Mile Fun Run are a longstanding tradition in the Northern Valley that inspires runners and spectators young and old. At our community event, children run in stride with their families and with seasoned runners from surrounding areas. In 2022, we had over 800 people in attendance from all over Bergen County and beyond. All proceeds from the race go towards the Demarest schools and the race has brought amazing athletic and academic equipment and programs into our classrooms. What sets us apart from all other 5K races is our unique Principal’s Challenge training and mentoring program which starts three months prior to race day and prepares the students not only for the race but also for a lifetime of health and fitness. These events allow sponsors to reach over 1,000 students, families, teachers and business administrators in our community over an extended period of time.
